Manhunt – Gay Chat, Meet, Date App Reviews

This new version is horrible! Filters dont work right and you cant turn them off. If you do, the next time you sign in the filters are all checked again. You also cant see anyone Visits show up DAYS later and no message notification. Horrible!

But now that I access the Internet primarily on the iPad and iPhone its a disaster. It basically doesnt work. You can try to select the desktop version on the iPad, but it will just keep defaulting to the mobile version, and when you click on members it will open up the mobile version general search page. Contacting the helpdesk is next to impossible, but if you manage to get through they will just blame it on you and your iPad; you didnt clear the cache correctly or whatever. It is comical that they actually want to charge you a membership for a service that really doesnt work, when now there is a plethora of apps and websites you can turn to better much more functional.

Dont bother downloading this crappy app. They charge you for everything!! You cant even read someones profile without paying!! There are so many other great Gay apps available, Scruff, Growlr, Mr.X, Adam4Adam, all a million times better

This is an okay app but I HATE having to log into the website to check certain messages in order to get rid of the message notification. It defeats the purpose of the app.

Still wont show guys more than a mile away no matter how wide-ranging I set the distance. Still shuts off or freezes. Im not sure what the problem us but Im done with it. If you paid for it, make sure to stop the automatic renewal why waste more $? Nearly every other app does more for free. Even that terrible Daddyhunt is better than this incompetent creation. And the few good reviews here? If bet even money theyre by employees or investors/owners. No way the casual user wrote them. The mighty have fallen. Manhunt was once one of the most popular Gay social sites, but now its one of the worst.

I actually like this app--when it works. It crashes constantly during peak usage times. And the phone app drops my credentials at least twice an hour. Ive had to re-install it so many times its ridiculous. When it works I prefer it over Grindr, but since it so rarely works fir more than a few minutes in think Im going to drop it--not worth the hassle. If it ever becomes reliable, I hope someone from MH will let me know.

This should have been a good app: they have the backend service, but the app was poorly written and it shows. There are problems with speed, page authorization and download, but the constant crashing pretty much ruins the user experience.

I cant send messages, I cant see pictures and the app dont let do nothing. I like manhunt mobile than manhunt app. Please fix it!!!

Its great that Manhunt mobile is back on iTunes! But the functionality is in some ways just as bad or worse than we have had to deal with on the m-dot-mobi replacement mobile app. The distance feature on the profile Good start on updating. But thats ALL it is -- just a start or a beginning. There are way too many issues to be at all satisfied!

This app now makes me want to cancel my membership. The app will not open because It says my password is wrong. I love the 6s features with touch and cant wait to see what more they can do with it. Im still working on learning this. The bad are simple; the app crashes when it updated. By crashing it wouldnt even open with Touch ID. The app said NY password was wrong and I just had to delete it and reinstall. The app wouldnt even let me enter the info at all. What would make this app better is more info to enter to make it better and maybe seclude areas out. I live near Canada but dont want to see Canadians because obviously their unable to freely come across. Maybe more force touch would be nice as well. Ok. I love the app because the pricing is very affordable. Much more than any of the others out there like Grindr and growlr.

I have had this app for a long time since its first released connected to manhunt.com but it constantly needs more improvements cause it keeps on crashes, down for maintenance and cant log in cause it keeps on saying that the password and screen name is wrong. Please improve this app and make it better especially for men who uses this app constantly.

The app is borderline non-functional, constant bugs and glitches, just avoid it. Nothing but old closeted guys anyway

The Manhunt Mobile app works about 30% of the time and the new Internet site is only slightly better. Youre better off cruising elsewhere ... anywhere elsewhere!!!

I did not appreciate a copy and paste response from a member of the Manhunt Mobile customer service team when I complained about the mobile application. The application is slow to load pages, search criteria do not "save" from session to session or even within sessions, profiles do not always display within the "conversations" section. Make a date in real time? Pretty near impossible, I say. It is no wonder that the second or third message in a thread invariably will ask, "Do you Skype?" or "Do you have WhatsApp?" I would not recommend Manhunt Mobile. Using it is excrutiating.

Ripoff! They will sign you up for a monthly or yearly automatically renewing membership which you will not be able to cancel. You will have to contact your credit card institution, declare fraud and get a new credit card. This should be against the law!

Im running on a free membership and they dont miss opportunities to make money off you. When you click on someones pictures you will be offered the opportunity to pay 99 cents for a "temporary upgrade" to view that persons photos exactly one time. When you block someone you are sent to an advertisement, with, I believe, no way out except to close the app. Being able to send pictures through app messages now is an improvement.

I have never been so frustrated with an app before... And I have the paid version which I would like to cancel, but cannot even log on half the time to do that ! On rare occasions, this app works fine, but 80% of the time it is excruciatingly slow, freezes, wont load, times out, wont show nearby profiles, or says your log in info is incorrect. Ive sent my comments to support and received a lukewarm unhelpful response of thanks for your input. This used to be one of the best websites out there, now the worst. Giving up on this app.... DO NOT get the paid version until this site improves...which will be a miracle if it ever does. Sad

Its torture to use your app. Clearly you dont test it or use it. Give it to eHarmony its not worth it.

Manhunt upgraded and OOPS now it no longer notifies you when you have messages. At all. So many other bugs, too numerous to mention. They offered their entire user base 7 free days THREE MONTHS after they broke both the app and the mobile website. But wont issue credits for long standing members (12 years here). What good is an app made for messaging others if it doesnt notify you that you have messages??? Dont bother. Or as Manhunt would say "don&#039t bother". Thats really how bad it is. They cant even format text correctly now.
